Class Description: 
•	3 Hour Class: 2 Hours in the Classroom & 1 Hour on the Range
•	Price: $99.95 for ONE parent & ONE child.
•	Aimed for families with children 6 to 17 years old.
•	1 Parent or Legal Guardian must accompany each child to the class.
•	Rentals will be available, but families are encouraged to bring or purchase their own firearms to train with.
•	Only .22LR caliber firearms will be used.
•	The gun-range fees will be included in the class price.
•	Ammunition will be provided during the range portion.
•	A digital copy of “Children’s Safety & Firearms Fundamentals” workbook will also be provided to participants.

This children-focused lesson covers the important aspects of being cautious and safe in any environment, whether firearms are present or not. Participants will also learn the four rules to be safe around guns. this course is great for children ages 6-12 yers old.

Family Firearms Safety Fundamentals Course presented by Safety in the Crosshairs. Educating children about firearms and safety CAN make a difference! During this 60-minute course, SITC instructors discuss the importance of educating children to keep them safe around firearms. We will provide guidance and support for teaching safety and responsibility regarding firearms. Drawing from the USCCA’s Children’s Firearms & Safety Fundamentals curriculum, Dan and Gillian will cover topics like why, when and how to introduce children to safe and responsible firearms use and your responsibilities as adults in their environment. This is an open forum type course so feel free to bring your questions. This class is for adults-please do not bring youth under the age of 16 years old to the class.

Firearms Heritage and Use

Children’s Firearms &amp; Safety Fundamentals course is a FAMILY course.  This means you can attend this course with the intention of passing on what you have learned to your children, OR, you can attend with them.

It is a comprehensive guide designed to address the topic of firearms and safety with kids of all ages, (as young and 3 and up - customizable due to age and maturity of the child)  and to provide a positive, welcoming, and fun learning experience for youth – all while promoting the safe, responsible and ethical use of firearms.

This course provides the information and the skills you need for you, the parent, and for the young people with whom you share this – to be more confident, capable and safe with firearms.

This course is designed to teach the fundaments, etiquette, and respect of firearms to those ages 11-17. 

This course is designed for children to educate them about handgun operation and safety. This course will provide basic knowledge of firearms and firearm safety at an age appropriate level. They will learn grip, stance, and sight picture. We will also cover how a handgun functions, and the proper way to clear a firearm. They will learn the universal safety rules and what do do if there is an unattended firearm. The use of a 22LR pistol, range time, target, eye and ear protection is included in this class.

What is this course about?
 
Some of the most frequent questions we hear are: “How should we talk with our kids about firearms safety”? Or, “What is an appropriate age to have this conversation”? Or, “What are some safe ways to secure our firearms”? Or, “What are the next steps in the educational process”? All important topics of discussion that are covered in this course.
 
Many of us parents ourselves, we thought it would be a great idea to offer some free guidance on how to provide safe and quality education to your children. We will talk about various teaching methods, ages and stages, a safety overview, the firearms safety rules, hospitalization data, preventable tragedies, dispelled myths, safe firearms storage, scenarios, and opportunities for continued education. At the end, we will open the classroom up for a brief Q&A.
 
We will also have a guest speaker from the USCCA talk about some additional ways to protect yourselves, your families, and your assets. We hope to see you there!

This is a 5-hour Day Camp that will run Monday through Thursday (4 days) from 10 AM to 3 PM.  This Youth camp is designed for students ages 8-16 looking for a unique summer camp experience learning about shooting, First Aid and how they can protect themselves through situational awareness, mental and physical preparation.
